Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction and logistics company in Mauritius. The candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity calculations, budget monitoring, and project cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure effective cost control.
- Prepare and evaluate quotations, tender documents, and cost proposals.
- Measure completed work and verify quantities for interim and final payments.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Assist with material cost estimation, procurement, and budget planning.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, measurements, and variations.
- Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with project specifications and company standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in quantity surveying and construction projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Good analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams and meet deadlines.
