# Job Description: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer ## Job Title Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer ## Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will design and execute test plans, identify defects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help deliver high-quality applications that meet business and customer requirements. ## Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop effective test strategies.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release.
- Support test automation initiatives where applicable.
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices. ## Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience with manual testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus. ## Technical Skills
