Job Description

The incumbent would be responsible for the following:

1. Enhance customer experience by reduction in complaints and FOC (Free of Cost Replacement):

- Analysis of customer complaint with respective process owner and provide timely resolution against the complaint within time frame.

- Conduct root cause analysis and plan for correctives

- Monitor implementation of correctives
- CAPA communication and Improvement on repetitive issues
- Ensuring FOC analysis, identifying major contributors and taking up CAPA with concern stake holder and monitoring its sustenance.

2. Zero defect Quality approach:

- Ensure and implement product testing as per BIFMA & Indian Standards for existing as well as new Chairs

- Support manufacturing and suppliers on critical manufacturing processes like Injection moulding , aluminium die casting , foaming , upholstery through process audits and identify areas for improvements
- Implementing zero defect Quality approach at plant and supplier end
- Ensuring end of line and PDI (Pre-dispatch Inspection) approval for supplier and Inspection at Bhiwandi during receipt.
- Support for inspection and other standard QAD (Quality Assurance Department) procedures of components at vendor site for all orders under process, and feedback for the same to be given to the vendors and Design for any correctives required
- Capability and quality audits of all new and existing suppliers.

3. Deployment of quality tools:

- Deploying quality tools using Project Management office (PMO), Poka yoke, jig fixture validation, fit finish improvement at supplier end.
- Ensuring timely Process validation
- Ensuring timely implementation of PMOs, CAPAs (Corrective Action and Prevention Action) and follow up for implementation at supplier end.
- Collaborative work with CFT (Cross functional Team) for NPI (New Product Introduction) activities, APO (As per order) execution
- Identify fit finish gaps and review with CFT for product enhancement.

4. Improving Quality perception with Field teams:

- Customer complaint acknowledgement to field
- Ensuring monthly MIS (Management Information System) preparation and communication to stakeholders on improvements implemented

5. Organizational Imperatives:

- Developing a work culture of kaizen, 5S in department and ISO (international standard Organization) Documentation
- Promoting continuous improvement culture through Kaizens
- Categorization and Conversion of Bhiwandi Saidhara inspection and D3 warehouse stock
- Deployment of ISO, Business excellence practices in the department
- Ensuring safe working conditions and zero accidents in department

Essential

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production)

5 Years of work experience for in Engineering (Mechanical/Production)

Experience in Chair Quality Control and Assurance including product testing.
