Quality Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Management resource to join our team. This is an Individual Contributor role that requires the incumbent to independently own and drive QMS, Process Excellence, ISO/CMMI compliance, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The role involves extensive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain a QMS & Quality Control process that meets the requirements of international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and CMMI.
2. Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities using data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
3. Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with QMS policies, procedures, and standards.
4. Ensuring all processes across all functional areas & roles aligned to organizational governance & control posture.
5. Achieve complete quality compliance management systems in accordance with organizational plans and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies processes and procedures.
6. Responsible for Risk Assessment, Risk Mitigation, Audit Review, Monitoring and Managing Quality Compliance within the organization, control measures, identify lack or improvements in policies and process, recommit and implement required changes.
7. Develop, maintain, and update QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
8. Reporting to leadership on quality standards in a scheduled manner and provide training to employees on QMS policies, procedures, and standards.
9. Understanding organizational objectives and aligning it to quality standards and guidelines.
10. Monitor and measure QMS performance, including metrics such as defect density, customer satisfaction, and process efficiency.
11. Having experience in quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement in addition to engaging with personnel across the organization, customer focus, evidence-based decision-making, relationship management, process improvement, quality inspection and analysis.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and operations, to ensure QMS compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
13. Manage QMS-related projects, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion.
14. Responsible for the organization’s Quality standards ISO 9001:2015, CMMI, ISO 27001.
15. Develop and maintain process improvement frameworks, standards, templates, and best practices to support organizational process maturity.
16. Support organizational teams in adopting a continuous improvement and quality culture through awareness sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
17. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects, variation, waste, rework, and process cycle time.
18. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to QMS.

Required Skills / Certification:

• ISO 9001, 27001& CMMI Level 3 and above audit experience cum certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the software industry is mandatory.

Good to have:

• Knowledge of / exposure to ISO 13485 standards and processes.
• Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is added advantage, along with demonstrated experience applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to real-world process improvement initiatives.

CMMI-Specific Responsibilities:

1. Participate in CMMI appraisals and assessments and ensure that the organization's processes meet CMMI requirements.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategies to implement CMMI best practices.
