Purpose of Role
Responsible for planning, coordination, monitoring and execution control of supplier quality
assurance, inspection management, customer inspection activities and quality compliance
across multiple projects and supplier locations. The Executive acts as the focal point between
suppliers, inspectors, customers, project teams and quality leadership to ensure timely
inspection clearance and product conformity.
Preferred Educational Background
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics. Diploma candidates with significant inspection and
supplier quality experience may also be considered.
Desired Experience
5 for BE and 10 years for Diploma experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality,
Manufacturing Quality, Inspection Management, Production Engineering or
Defence/Aerospace/Heavy Engineering industries. Experience in managing supplier
inspections, customer inspections, FAT/ATP activities and quality documentation is
preferred.
Domain Expertise
Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Inspection Planning and Coordination Quality Plans
(QCP/QAP/SQAP) ERP/sQMS systems Product Verification and Inspection FAT, ATP, ESS
and Acceptance Testing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions NCR Management
Customer and Supplier Interface Management KPI Monitoring and Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve quality plans, coordinate suppliers, monitor inspection readiness,
manage customer inspection schedules, verify inspection compliance, assess observations
and NCRs, coordinate closure actions, conduct supplier quality visits, support technical issue
resolution, generate KPI reports and lead operational quality reviews.
Technical Competencies
Engineering drawing interpretation and specification review. Knowledge of manufacturing
processes for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment. Quality Management
Systems (QMS), supplier quality assurance, and quality control methodologies. Root Cause
Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and problem-solving tools such as 5-Why and Fishbone Analysis. Data
analysis, inspection reporting, and preparation of quality documentation. Working
knowledge of ERP systems and digital quality management platforms. Proficiency in MS
Excel, reporting tools, and quality dashboards. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of
Electronic Assemblies) and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness
Assemblies).Knowledge of DG Sets, electrical panels, switchboards, control panels, PLC
panels, VFD panels, and console assemblies. Knowledge of testing and inspection
requirements for motors, transformers, and power distribution equipment. Familiarity with
MIL Standards, JSS 55555, and other applicable defense and industrial specifications.
Understanding of EMC/EMI, electrical safety requirements, and environmental testing.
Preferred Industry Exposure
Defence, Naval Systems, Aerospace, Heavy Engineering, Railways, Industrial Equipment,
Electronics Manufacturing, System Integration or similar regulated industries.
Success Criteria
Timely inspection closure, customer satisfaction, inspection coverage achievement,
reduction in pending observations, supplier quality improvement, compliance KPI
achievement and effective utilization of inspection resources.
