Quality Head- Plastic Injection Moulding

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Quality Head to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for our automotive plastic injection moulding operations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, process compliance, defect prevention, and continuous improvement in line with automotive industry standards and customer-specific requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for automotive plastic injection-moulded components.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 ,VSA (Vendor / Supplier Audit) and applicable customer-specific requirements.
• Manage incoming, in-process, and final product inspection activities.
• Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
• Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Implement and monitor APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Ensure effective implementation of 8D problem-solving and 5 Why analysis.
• Conduct internal audits, process audits, product audits, and customer audits.
• Monitor process parameters, dimensional inspection, and product conformity.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, PPC, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Ensure calibration and proper utilization of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reduce defects.
• Prepare and review quality KPIs, rejection reports, customer complaint reports, and quality MIS.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5, VSA, IATF 16949, customer audits, and supplier audits in the automotive plastic injection moulding industry will be preferred.

• 10-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, preferably in automotive component manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding quality management.
• Proven experience handling automotive customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions.
• Sound knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience in managing customer-specific requirements and automotive quality documentation.
• Ability to lead quality teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
