Job Summary

The Quality Engineer with 7+ years of experience in manual testing, committed to delivering high-quality software. This role involves designing effective test cases, conducting comprehensive validations, and ensuring overall product quality. The individual collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, demonstrates strong adaptability as a quick learner, and responds effectively to evolving priorities and business needs, including exposure to Gen AI-driven testing approaches. Additionally, the role requires strong proficiency and experience in testing across Web, Desktop, API, Service, Database, and 3D/WebGL-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases (manual and automated) across UI, API, and database layers.
• Contribute to testing and enhance coverage using tools like ADO.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, BAs, and QA team members to ensure testability and quality of features.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
• Execute API testing using tools like Postman and validate service responses.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries (MS SQL / SQL Server).
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects, support defect triage and RCA discussions.
• Contribute to test data preparation and management.
• Support test case optimization by identifying redundant or low-value test cases.
• Ensure test coverage across integrated systems and cross-platform end-to-end workflows.
• Validate applications deployed in Azure cloud environments (basic understanding).
• Adhere to QA processes, documentation standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating and executing automated test suites.
• Validate complex business rules, configuration-driven behavior, and deterministic system outputs across platforms.
• (Nice to have) Support compliance with healthcare/medical standards (e.g., HIPAA, IEC 62304) where applicable.
• (Nice to have) Experience testing distributed systems involving multiple integrated platforms or services

Key Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Software Testing (Manual).
• Experience in Web UI testing
• Good understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Exposure to GitHub and basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cross-browser testing and responsive UI validation.
• Experience in testing 3D/WebGL-based applications.
• (Nice to have) ISTQB certification.
