Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process activities and finished control panels to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Review customer specifications, approved drawings, BOMs, inspection plans and applicable quality requirements.
• Perform inspections and testing of PLC panels, instrumentation panels, electrical control panels and other manufactured products.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test reports, checklists and quality records.
• Coordinate customer and third-party inspections, including documentation and inspection readiness.
• Identify non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, internal procedures and customer-specific quality standards.
• Support internal audits, customer audits and supplier quality assessments.
• Monitor supplier quality and follow up on corrective actions for rejected materials.
• Ensure proper calibration and control of inspection and measuring instruments.
• Promote continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of quality issues.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of quality inspection, electrical panels, instrumentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, inspection procedures, NCR, root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Ability to read technical specifications and maintain quality documentation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of quality reports.
• Ability to coordinate with production, engineering, suppliers and customers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Reduction in internal and customer-reported quality defects.
• First-pass inspection and testing success rate.
• Timely closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Accuracy and timely completion of quality documentation.
• Customer and third-party inspection performance.
• Compliance with applicable quality procedures and standards.

Preferred: Experience in electrical control panel manufacturing, instrumentation panels, industrial automation, EPC projects or customer inspection activities.
