Quality Engineer - Transmission Line

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans for transmission line (TL) projects.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Quality Checklists.
• Maintain FQP/quality registers and documentation as per client requirements and specifications.
• Identify approved sources for sand and aggregates and coordinate source approval.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, utility standards, and relevant codes.
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and ensure material traceability.
• Inspect materials and T&P before commencement of work.
• Train supervisors on cube preparation and quality procedures.
• Conduct field tests such as slump tests and cube tests.
• Ensure material testing (sand, aggregates, cement, TMT, etc.) is carried out as per the FQP plan.
• Validate availability of royalty documents for approved sources before starting foundation work.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor work quality and adherence to client specifications.
• Conduct site audits and stage-wise quality inspections.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare daily/weekly quality reports and support client inspections.

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes in transmission line or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of material testing, quality documentation, and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, FQP, and technical specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills with site teams and clients.
• Willing to work on-site and conduct frequent quality inspections.
