Must-Have Skills

1. Performance Testing (Core Skill)

Candidate should have hands-on experience in:

• Load Testing
• Stress Testing
• Endurance/Soak Testing
• Spike Testing
• Scalability Testing

Tools may include:

• JMeter

2. Microservices Performance Testing

Candidate should have tested:

• REST APIs
• Microservices applications
• Distributed systems

Not just web applications.

3. Performance Analysis & Troubleshooting

This is the most important part.

The candidate should be able to answer:

• Why is the application slow?
• Which API is causing delays?
• Is the issue in application, database, server, or infrastructure?

4. Observability / Monitoring Tools

Strong preference for experience in:

• Dynatrace
• AppDynamics
• OpenTelemetry
• AppNomiX

These are the keywords you should focus on.

5. Python

Need basic to medium Python knowledge for:

• API Stub Servers
• Mock Services

Good-to-Have Skills
