Quality Engineer -Metrology & Lab, FAI

Job Overview


Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
• Manage metrology laboratory operations and inspection plans.
• Validate dimensional layouts for new and modified components.
• Operate and support advanced inspection equipment.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality measuring instruments.
• Generate FAI reports and PPAP documentation where required.
• Support new product introduction and engineering change validations.
• Conduct MSA studies including GRR.
• Support internal, customer, and certification audits.

Requirements

• Expertise in dimensional metrology and inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and PFMEA.
• Understanding of GDT and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CMM operations and programming preferred.
• Knowledge of MSA, GRR, SPC, and calibration systems.
• Proficiency in quality documentation and report preparation.

Travel Work Arrangements/Requirements

• 15-25% As and When required
