Quality Engineer - Manual Insertion

MI Quality Engineer Manual Insertion:

• Ensure in-process quality control on manual insertion (MI) lines
• Monitor component insertion quality (polarity, orientation, alignment)
• Perform IPQC checks and maintain quality records
• Identify defects such as wrong insertion, missing components, solder issues
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Coordinate with production and process teams for improvements
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs
• Support internal and external audits (ISO)
• Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints

Skills Required

• Knowledge of manual insertion process and PCB assembly
• Familiar with 7 QC tools, SPC, basic quality concepts
• Good observation and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of soldering defects and IPC standards

Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech (Electronics / Mechanical)
• 3 to 7 years experience in EMS / PCB manufacturing
