About this role
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure process quality in cable harness/connector lines
• Implement & sustain control plans, PFMEA, SOPs
• Perform in-process inspections; ensure standard adherence
• Lead root cause analysis for internal/customer complaints
• Drive CAPA and validate effectiveness
• Ensure compliance to IPC/WHMA-A-620 & customer requirements
• Coordinate with production for defect reduction & improvements
• Handle customer, internal & process audits
• Monitor quality metrics (PPM, FPY, rejection, COPQ)
• Support NPI/APQP activities incl. PPAP documentation
• Ensure calibration & MSA compliance
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers/inspectors
• Drive process optimization & cost reduction
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of cable harness manufacturing
• Experience in crimping, stripping, pull force, inspection
• Familiar with 7 QC tools, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 (preferred)
• Understanding of electrical testing (continuity, hipot, IR)
• Good analytical & problem-solving skills
• Effective communication & coordination
