Quality Engineer (Automation & Control Panel)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform PLC testing and validation for Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and other control systems.
• Conduct I/O testing, logic verification, and control panel functional testing.
• Execute control panel power-on testing and ensure system performance meets specifications.
• Configure and test Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Validate industrial communication networks and protocols.
• Independently conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and prepare test reports.
• Generate and maintain Quality Control (QC) reports, inspection records, and documentation.
• Identify non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPA actions.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, suppliers, and stores teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
• 2-8 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Control Panel Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance.
• Hands-on experience in Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC testing.
• Strong knowledge of I/O Testing, Logic Validation, and Control Panel Testing.
• Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and preparation of test reports.
• Familiarity with VFD configuration and testing.
• Good understanding of Industrial Communication Protocols and Networking.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC Standards, NCR Management, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical Drawings and Control Schematics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Willingness to work independently and handle customer inspections/FAT activities.
