Job Summary:We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer for our construction site in Gujarat. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and relevant IS Codes. Candidate should have hands-on experience in material testing, documentation, and site inspection.Key Responsibilities:

1. QA ActivitiesImplement and maintain the project Quality Assurance Plan / QAPEnsure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and IS CodesConduct internal quality audits and prepare Non-Conformance Reports NCRCoordinate with client, consultant, and third-party agencies for inspectionsMaintain all QA documentation: Method Statements, ITP, Checklists, Material Approvals

2. QC / Testing Activities as per IS CodesConcrete: Slump test, Cube casting & testing as per IS 456:2000, IS 1199, IS 516Steel: Tensile test, Bend test, Cutting & Binding inspection as per IS 1786, IS 13920Bricks & Blocks: Water absorption, Compressive strength as per IS 3495, IS 1077Cement: Fineness, Setting time, Soundness, Compressive strength as per IS 4031, IS 269/IS 8112Soil & Foundation: Moisture content, Density, SPT, Plate Load Test as per IS 2720, IS 2911Aggregates: Sieve analysis, Specific gravity, Crushing value as per IS 2386Water: pH, TDS, Chloride test as per IS 456:2000, IS 3025Tiles, Paint, Waterproofing: Adhesion test, Flood test as per project specs & relevant IS codesEnsure proper calibration of all testing equipment and maintain test registers3. Documentation & ReportingDaily QC reports, Weekly QA reports, and Monthly quality reportsMaintain material traceability, test certificates, and approval sheetsClosure of client observations and consultant commentsSupport for ISO 9001:2015 documentation if applicable

Required Skills & Knowledge:Minimum 2+ years experience in QA/QC on Building / Industrial / Infrastructure projectsThorough knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, CPWD SpecsHands-on experience with site lab testing and third-party lab coordinationKnowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD reading, and documentationGood communication skills in English, Hindi, and Gujarati preferredKey IS Codes to be Followed:IS 456:2000 - Code of Practice for Plain & Reinforced ConcreteIS 1199, IS 516 - Concrete TestingIS 1786, IS 432 - Steel & ReinforcementIS 3495, IS 1077 - Brick Testing IS 4031, IS 269 - Cement TestingIS 2720 Series - Soil TestingIS 2386 - Aggregate TestingIS 875 - Load CalculationsIS 13920 - Ductile Detailing of RCC StructuresOther Details:
