Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary

The responsibility is to make sure all aspects of quality control are taken care of. We build making the right quality into the production processes and control, and Production manufactures the right quality. It is the Quality Inspector responsibility to build the system that makes it possible for Production to manufacture the right quality. This is an onsite role based in Kancheepuram, reporting to Quality Control Lead.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge in Engineering Drawings and Layout Inspection of Parts
• Hands-on experience handling ISO Documentation and updating of Reports
• Maintain Instruments Calibration across the factory
• Conduct Patrol In Process Inspection and ensure you follow Standard Operating Procedure, using only current revision drawings.
• Receiving Inspection of Raw Material Sheets, Coil, Sheet Metal Parts, Plastic Parts
• Conduct Final Inspection of Assembly Panel, Verification of Kitting Parts, Ensuring Packing standard in followed
• Handling Supplier and resolving Vendor related materials quality issues raised In process
• Handling Customer Complaints and providing CAPA to Customer
• Handling In process issues jointly with Production team and providing CAPA
• Conduct MSA, CPK Study
• New Vendor Qualification, Existing Vendor evaluation
• New Product Development and PPAP Approval of Parts from Vendor
• Assist Manager in daily operations and meet the Production and Delivery plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics
• The ability to travel 20-30% of the time (within India)

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall 3+ years of experience with 3 years experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication process
• Experience in New Product Development and ISO Documentation
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and Six Sigma Certification will add an advantage.
