Role Description The Quality Assurance Tester – L2 will work on-site in Mumbai in a contract role, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of Haptik’s conversational AI products and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing manual tests, creating and maintaining detailed test cases, and validating new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. The role involves identifying defects, documenting issues clearly, and collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to drive timely resolutions. The tester will analyze test results, suggest improvements to testing processes, and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality across multiple releases. This position requires careful attention to detail, a structured approach to testing, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What responsibilities will you have?

• Design, build, and maintain automation test suites (API, UI, integration, regression)
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies for new features across web, voice, and GenAI-based workflows
• Implement automated CI pipelines for test execution and reporting
• Identify QA bottlenecks in release cycles and propose solutions to reduce manual overhead
• Ensure coverage for critical use cases, including LLM-agent workflows and voice bot interactions
• Monitor production issues and contribute to post-release test automation to prevent regressions

What skills, expertise and experience are we looking for?

• 3–6 years of experience in test automation for scalable SaaS or platform products
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Strong knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or any scripting language used for test development
• Good understanding of backend systems (REST APIs, microservices architecture)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with frequent releases
• Exposure to testing LLM-based features, chatbots, or voice assistants is a huge plus
