    Title: QA/QC Engineer

Location: Pirangut, Mulshi, Pune - 412115

    Department: Quality Assurance & Control

    Employment Type: Full-Time

    About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-caliber QA/QC Engineer to join our Quality Assurance & Control team. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing world-class quality standards across incoming raw materials, in-process assembly, and final functional/type testing of power electronics systems, including UPS units.

Working closely with cross-functional teams in Procurement, Manufacturing, and R&D, you will champion defect reduction, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), audit supplier networks, and uphold our ISO quality frameworks to ensure peak performance and product reliability.

    Role Description

    1. Quality Management Systems (QMS) & Compliance

    • Enforce adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards across manufacturing operations.
    • Maintain, update, and govern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Quality Inspection Checklists.
    • Support internal quality audits and represent the QA department during external and customer audits.
    • Drive shop-floor quality culture through 5S and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.

    2. Incoming Material & Supplier Quality Engineering

    • Formulate robust sampling plans (e.g., AQL standards) for incoming raw materials, active components, magnetics, and PCBs.
    • Collaborate with Procurement to evaluate, onboard, and benchmark suppliers based on technical capability and defect metrics.
    • Conduct periodic on-site and remote supplier quality audits to prevent non-conformances upstream.
    • Manage non-conforming materials and drive the Return-To-Vendor (RTV) process to completion.

    3. In-Process Quality & Final Functional Testing

    • Standardize in-process inspection protocols for sub-assemblies, PCBA stages, and power modules.
    • Oversee and support full-suite testing on finished UPS units, including functional testing, load testing, type testing, and burn-in/heat-run testing.
    • Manage test-bench calibration schedules, verifying that oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multi-meters, and high-voltage safety gear remain fully certified and traceably calibrated.
    • Lead 8D and 5-Why Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for in-house test failures and customer field complaints; track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) through closure.

    4. Leadership & Cross-Functional Support

Mentor junior technicians and inspection operators on testing best practices, component handling, and high-voltage safety standards.

    • Facilitate smooth communication between Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to eliminate production bottlenecks.

    Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated QA/QC experience in power-electronics manufacturing (UPS, inverters, power supplies, or motor drives).

Technical Domain: Deep familiarity with power electronic topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) and mechanical assembly inspection/tolerances.

Instrumentation & Safety: Hands-on expertise operating test benches, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, load banks, and high-voltage safety protocols.

RCA & Quality Methodologies: Proven track record applying 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and statistical process control (SPC).

Certifications (Preferred): Certified ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt.

    Why Join Us

    • Work with Cutting-Edge Power Tech: Be directly involved in advancing mission-critical power systems.
    • Career Growth: Work under Tier-1 senior engineering mentorship with clear avenues for professional leadership.
    • Impact-Driven Environment: Spearhead dynamic quality transformations using modern Lean and Six Sigma frameworks.
