Quality Assurance Lead

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality as per BIS 1786 standards (FE 550 / 550D).
• Monitor chemical and mechanical properties of TMT bars.
• Supervise lab testing (UTM, bend/re-bend, chemical analysis).
• Ensure proper calibration of equipment as per defined scope and standards.
• Facilitate audits by customers and government authorities.
• Handle customer complaints and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA.
• Ensure process control at LRF, CCM, and rolling mill stages.
• Maintain quality documentation and ensure audit compliance.
• Coordinate with production for continuous quality improvement.
• Possess working knowledge of Six Sigma, 7Q tools, and Why-Why analysis.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement in iron casting, steel casting, manufacturing, TMT bars, and steel structures.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to process optimisation techniques such as FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to operation, maintenance and quality management.
• Prepare test reports on a timely basis using SAP systems.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 1-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Production department with knowledge of Iron & Steel industry.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Any Specialization (B.Sc / B.Tech / B.E.).
  
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including casting processes like iron casting and steel casting.
  
• Proficiency in preparing test reports according to company standards.
