Quality Engineer – Automation with 4–6 years of experience in designing and implementing robust test automation solutions across web, API, and data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation framework development, API testing, SQL validation, and CI/CD integration, while working in Agile delivery environments. Experience with cloud platforms and AI-assisted development tools will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and Serenity.
• Develop and execute API automation test suites using Rest Assured.
• Perform data validation, SQL testing, and quality assurance for data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Automate test execution and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Validate web applications, APIs, data platforms, MDM systems, and cloud-based applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, API, smoke, system, and performance testing.
• Create and maintain reusable test scripts, automation libraries, and test data.
• Work with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata for backend validation.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude to improve automation productivity and code quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, defect triage, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and Serenity Framework.
• Hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data validation and database testing.
• Knowledge of ETL testing, data warehouse concepts, and backend testing.
• Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, and/or Teradata databases.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Exposure to Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing Data Platforms, Data APIs, ETL pipelines, or MDM solutions.
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Knowledge of containerized environments and DevOps practices is a plus.
