About the role: We're building a

Drupal 10 website with strict

WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549 accessibility and performance requirements. You'll own quality across functional, accessibility, cross-browser, and performance testing, and act as the gatekeeper on the accessibility and QA sign-offs the project is contractually held to. Each project phase ends with a formal acceptance gate backed by your written QA report.

Key responsibilities

• Write and run

functional and regression test scripts for every user journey across audiences, including: map click → country profile → EOI form submission; resource library filtering by topic and country (no page reload); passcode-protected event access; newsletter signup → Ortto; and full mobile + screen-reader journeys

• Run

accessibility audits : axe-core in CI plus

manual NVDA (Windows/Chrome) and VoiceOver (macOS/Safari) testing against a WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549 checklist; verify keyboard-only navigation and ARIA labelling

• Cross-browser testing via BrowserStack: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest 2 versions), plus iOS Safari and Android Chrome
• Performance testing with Lighthouse CI against Core Web Vitals (LCP < 2.5s, FID < 100ms, CLS < 0.1) on homepage and map
• Verify integrations: form-to-email delivery, the Ortto newsletter webhook, and the interactive map data
• Log defects with clear

severity ratings (Critical / High / Medium / Low) and track resolution SLAs

• Produce a written

QA report at each phase gate summarising results, known issues, and resolution status

• Run CMS content-editor walk-throughs to confirm non-technical staff can add/edit all content types

Must-have

• 2+ years QA on web projects
• Hands-on

accessibility testing — axe-core plus screen readers (NVDA / VoiceOver) — against WCAG 2.1 AA

• BrowserStack cross-browser/device testing
• Lighthouse / Core Web Vitals performance testing
• Strong test-case writing, structured test scripts, and disciplined defect reporting.
