Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Title: Automation QA Engineer

Location: Chennai , Tamil , India

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Execute automated regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end test suites.
• Perform API automation testing and backend validation.
• Validate databases using SQL queries.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and design reviews.
• Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Create and maintain automation documentation and test reports.
• Ensure software quality, stability, and performance before release.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
