Quality Assessment Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier visits to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and quality systems.
• Perform supplier quality audits and ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain the annual supplier assessment and audit calendar.
• Verify material inspection standards and quality control practices at supplier facilities.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure through effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Prepare and maintain supplier performance and rating dashboards.
• Develop and execute improvement plans to enhance supplier ratings and monitor effectiveness.
• Support supplier qualification and validation activities, including special process validations.
• Review supplier quality documentation and submit recommendations for approval to the Head of Quality.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive continuous quality improvements and risk mitigation.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree (B.E.) or Diploma (D.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Vendor Development, Quality Assurance, or a related function.
• Strong knowledge of supplier audits, quality assessment methodologies, NCR, CAPA, and supplier performance management.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and process validation requirements.
• Ability to analyze quality data and drive supplier improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Mandatory experience in the Valve Manufacturing Industry.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management and vendor assessments.
• Willingness to relocate near the plant location with family.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
