Roles and Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed estimates of construction costs, including material lists, labor rates, and equipment rental fees.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential cost savings opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate prices and improve service quality.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to estimate costs accurately.

Job Requirements :

• 4-11 years of experience in quantity surveying or related field.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and principles.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive estimates using specialized software (e.g. CostX).
• Excellent communication skills for effective vendor negotiation.
