Qs Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates and rate analyses.
• Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings for scope and quantity accuracy.
• Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare project budgets and monitor estimated versus actual costs.
• Identify variations, cost escalations and potential savings.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and project execution teams.
• Maintain estimation records, rate databases and supporting documents.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 25 years of experience in estimation and quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and market rates.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD and BOQ preparation.
• Good analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Experience in residential or commercial construction projects is preferred.
