Description

The Qlik Consultant will play a key role in analyzing and documenting the current Qlik environment, including dashboards, data models, and business logic. The consultant will collaborate with the Microsoft Fabric migration team to provide both technical and functional insights, ensuring a smooth transition from Qlik to Fabric while preserving business value.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment of Existing Qlik Environment: Analyze current QlikView/Qlik Sense dashboards, data models, ETL processes, and user requirements.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Document technical architecture, business rules, and functional logic embedded in Qlik solutions.

Migration Support: Provide detailed inputs to the Microsoft Fabric migration team for rearchitecting pipelines, governance, and reporting.

Business Functionality Mapping: Translate Qlik business logic into equivalent Microsoft Fabric components (Data Lake, Synapse, Power BI).

Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to ensure business continuity during migration.

Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize reporting processes during the transition.

Training & Guidance: Support teams in understanding Qlik features and their mapping to Fabric capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in QlikView and Qlik Sense development and administration.

Experience in data modeling, ETL, and SQL.

Ability to analyze and document business rules and functional logic in BI solutions.

Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure ecosystem (Data Lake, Synapse, Power BI).

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in BI platform migration projects (Qlik Microsoft Fabric or similar).

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.

Exposure to modern data architectures (Medallion, Lakehouse).

Industry experience in telecom, finance, or enterprisescale environments.
