Consultant Quality Engineer – API, UI, Data & AI-Driven Test Automation – L7 Required Skills:

• 8–12 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering across API, UI, and Data/ETL testing
• Mandatory expertise in Postman (API testing) and Playwright (UI automation)
• Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript
• Experience designing end-to-end automation frameworks across API, UI, and backend validation
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, OAuth/JWT authentication
• Experience validating JSON/XML payloads and API contracts
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM)
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Strong SQL and data validation expertise
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Kibana)
• Experience leveraging Generative AI for testing (test generation, debugging, coverage improvement)
• Hands-on experience using Claude for test case generation, automation drafting, and failure analysis
• Experience using Playwright MCP for AI-assisted browser automation and testing

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Layer7 API Gateway
• Experience with authentication & IAM systems (OAuth, SSO)
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or similar data platforms
• Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
• Experience driving AI adoption in QA teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end quality engineering strategy across API, UI, and data layers
• Validate API-driven business logic including authentication flows
• Automate UI workflows using Playwright
• Perform data validation across API, UI, and database layers
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Lead Layer7 migration testing and API comparison validation
• Perform root cause analysis of defects
• Leverage Claude and AI tools for test generation, debugging, and optimization
• Use Playwright MCP for AI-driven browser testing workflows
• Drive AI adoption and improve automation efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers
