QAD Consultant

The position will be responsible for providing solutions in the area of ERP functionality, ensure successful delivery, individually participate and contributes on any issues that may affect application functionality.

* Good understanding of all Progress 4GL(OpenEdge) Framework

* Should have extensive work experience on development projects.

* Analysis, design and development of applications using Progress 4GL(OpenEdge)

* Interact with business customers for basic new requirements and analysis.

* Regularly monitor all logged request. Plan and prioritize workload among team members.

* Perform root cause analysis on issues in a large production environment.

* Assist in the development of work processes to ensure the proper and successful use of the applications.

* Write unit and system test plans/specifications and perform testing.

* Code review to ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications.

* Interact with project teams to ensure a smooth and successful transition to support after the deployment of new applications or new major versions and adhere to all stated company policies and processes.

* Project status reporting and metrics

* Willing to work in production support environment and be available on call to handle any critical issues / system outages

* Knowledge of ERP applications like QAD or similar will be added advantage.

* Demonstrates key competencies at the desired levels as defined in the framework for this position.
