About this role
Job Summary
QA Trainee
You will own testing for a feature or a small client build, from test plan to sign-off. Where an intern helps, you decide when something is ready to ship and when it is not.
Responsibilities
- Write and manage a full set of test cases for a feature or a build
- Decide when a bug is a blocker and when it can wait for the next release
- Bring test status to daily QA stand-ups and weekly sprint reviews
- Own regression testing before a release, not just the new feature
- Log bugs precisely enough that a developer never needs to ask what happened
- Suggest one change to how we test, and see it through
What we are looking for
- A bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline
- Basic knowledge of manual testing and the QA cycle
- Good attention to detail and a habit of working a problem through, not around it
- Comfortable telling a developer their fix did not work
- Ready to own a full test cycle within your first few months
