Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Engineer with 0–6 months of experience to join our software development team.

The candidate will be responsible for manual testing, functional testing, regression testing, database testing, API testing, automation testing, load testing, and performance testing of web-based applications developed using technologies such as Java Spring Boot, Angular, Python, HTML5, and Bootstrap.

The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and project teams to identify defects, verify fixes, and ensure the quality and reliability of applications before deployment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manual Testing

• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and project workflows.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.
• Perform:
• Functional Testing
• Integration Testing
• System Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke Testing
• Sanity Testing
• Exploratory Testing
• User Acceptance Testing support
• Execute test cases and document test results.
• Identify, reproduce, and report software defects.
• Perform defect retesting and verification after fixes.
• Participate in requirement and design discussions to identify potential issues at an early stage.

2. Web Application Testing

Test web applications developed using:

• Angular
• Java / Spring Boot
• Python
• HTML5
• CSS
• Bootstrap
• JavaScript/TypeScript

Testing should cover:

• UI functionality
• Form validation
• Navigation
• Session management
• Authentication and authorization
• Browser compatibility
• Responsive design
• Error handling
• Data validation
• File upload/download functionality

3. API Testing

• Test REST APIs developed using Spring Boot and Python.
• Validate:
• Request and response
• HTTP status codes
• Headers
• Authentication
• Response data
• Error messages
• API response time
• Basic knowledge of tools such as Postman is preferred.

4. Database Testing

Perform database validation and backend data verification using:

• MySQL
• MS SQL Server
• Oracle

Responsibilities include:

• Writing basic to intermediate SQL queries.
• Verify data inserted/updated/deleted by applications.
• Validate stored data against expected results.
• Perform data integrity and consistency testing.
• Validate database transactions.
• Verify relationships between tables.
• Check stored procedures, functions, and queries where applicable.

5. Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain basic automated test scripts.
• Automate repetitive functional and regression test cases.
• Understand automation testing concepts and frameworks.
• Exposure to tools/frameworks such as:
• Selenium
• Playwright
• Cypress
• JUnit/TestNG
• Python-based testing frameworks

Candidates with basic knowledge of automation testing will be preferred.

6. Load & Performance Testing

• Perform basic load, stress, and performance testing of web applications and APIs.
• Create test scenarios for different numbers of concurrent users.
• Analyze:
• Response time
• Throughput
• CPU utilization
• Memory utilization
• Error rate
• Database response
• Identify performance bottlenecks and provide test reports.
• Exposure to Apache JMeter or similar performance-testing tools is preferred.

7. Defect Management

• Log defects with complete information including:
• Defect description
• Steps to reproduce
• Expected result
• Actual result
• Screenshots/logs
• Severity and priority
• Track defects through their complete lifecycle.
• Coordinate with developers for defect resolution.
• Perform regression testing after defect fixes.

8. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain:

• Test Plans
• Test Scenarios
• Test Cases
• Test Data
• Defect Reports
• Test Execution Reports
• Regression Test Reports
• Automation Test Reports
• Load/Performance Test Reports

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / BCA / M.Tech / equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Freshers and candidates with 0–12 months of relevant experience can apply.
