Qa Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute manual test cases and document test results.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Perform UI, API, and database testing as required.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a QA perspective.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Perform regression testing for new releases and application enhancements.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.

Automation Testing Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and other automation framework practices.
• Experience with API automation using tools such as REST Assured or Postman.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience executing automated regression and smoke test suites.

Manual Testing Skills

• Strong knowledge of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience in test case design, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of SQL/database validation.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify functional and edge-case scenarios.

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
• Automation testing experience is preferred and can be considered based on the requirement.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of API and database testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Git and version control.
• Experience with Docker or cloud environments.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
