QA tester - Appium

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for mobile applications (iOS and Android) using Appium.
• Perform manual testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of web automation test suites.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Review automation code and participate in peer code reviews to ensure best practices and maintain code quality.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and product owners to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Create, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Track, analyze, and report test execution metrics, defects, and overall quality status to stakeholders.
• Contribute to performance, load, reliability, and scalability testing initiatives where applicable.
• Lead automated testing activities across multiple concurrent projects and releases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive adoption of modern testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Mentor and coach team members on automation testing techniques, tools, and quality engineering practices.
• Provide production support and participate in occasional out-of-hours testing or release activities as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8-10 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong mix of Automation and Manual Testing.
• Hands-on experience in Appium for mobile test automation across Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience with web automation tools such as Selenium or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect management processes.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
