Qa Qc Inspector ( Painting & Coating )

Position : QA/QC Painting & Coating Inspector

Location : Oman

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor all painting and coating activities at site.
• Ensure surface preparation, blasting, priming and painting are carried out as per approved specifications and procedures.
• Check environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and dew point before and during painting.
• Inspect and verify paint materials, mixing, application and curing.
• Conduct and record DFT (Dry Film Thickness) and other required coating inspections.
• Identify painting defects and ensure proper rectification.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with the Site Team, Consultant and Client for inspections and approvals.
• Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and follow up on approvals.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved ITPs, method statements and relevant standards.
• Assist in identifying and closing NCRs related to painting and coating works.
• Maintain proper records of all painting inspection and testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, coating systems and DFT measurement.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience in coating inspection and testing with a Holiday Detector, Salt Test Kit, and Zero Test Plate.
• Wraparound Coating or Insulation Inspection certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience working on marine environment projects will be an added advantage.

Qualification:

• BE./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Valid NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 or Level 2 certification or BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector certification.

Experience : 10 years in QA/QC Painting & Coating inspector

Salary : OMR 500-700 ( INR - Rs 1,25,000 to 1,75,000) per month

Contract Period : 2 Years
