    About this role

    Role Summary

Own end-to-end quality of every 3D-printed gummy - from raw-material and cartridge inputs to the finished dose - across the hospital ProHealth sites and distribution centers in Hyderabad and Mumbai.

    About the Product and Technology

Nourish makes personalized gummies on imported 3D printers, up to seven nutrient layers each. They are sugar-free and vegan, and sold through Apollo Pharmacy and other retail. The process is imported, so quality must hold in Indian heat and humidity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the quality management system (QMS) for 3D/inkjet gummy printing - SOPs, batch-release criteria, and in-process checks - across the Hyderabad and Mumbai sites.
    • Set incoming-quality standards for edible inks, gel bases, and nutrient premixes; approve every cartridge/ink batch via certificate of analysis (CoA) before use.
    • Define per-batch output checks - potency/dose verification against the prescribed stack, color and alignment inspection, and microbial testing - before dispatch.
    • Build and lead a distributed QC team across the hospital and distribution center sites in Hyderabad and Mumbai, with a standard training and certification program for printer operators.
    • Own GMP/HACCP/FSSAI compliance for the printing operation - documentation, internal/external audits, and CAPA (corrective and preventive action) closure.
    • Lead root-cause investigations into deviations, defects, and complaints, partnering with formulation, R&D, and site operations on corrective fixes.
    • Partner with clinical/dietician stakeholders and central formulation to ensure every printed dose stays within FSSAI/ICMR-NIN upper limits (UL/TUL).
    • Work with the equipment vendor on imported printer settings and process changes, and keep import documents for imported inks and premixes in order.
    • Cover retail quality: stock checks, storage, shelf life, returns, and complaints from Apollo Pharmacy and other retail partners.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Bachelor's/Master's in Pharmacy, Food Technology, or Biotechnology.
    • 3-6 years leading quality assurance/control in pharma, nutraceuticals, food manufacturing, or medical devices, ideally multi-site.
    • Deep working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI/ICMR-NIN nutrient limits; experience setting up a QMS from scratch is a strong plus.
    • Hands-on exposure to automated/inkjet 3D printing, precision dosing, or similar high-precision manufacturing equipment.
    • Strong people-leadership skills - proven ability to build and manage a distributed QC team across multiple sites (Hyderabad and Mumbai).
    • Data-driven - comfortable defining KPIs and running CAPA investigations.
    • Willing to travel regularly across hospital and DC sites for audits and training (limited to Hyderabad and Mumbai).
    • Comfortable working at hospital and warehouse sites as a normal part of the job.

General industry guidance: moisture, packaging and shelf life

General industry guidance for gummies. Nourish's own limits will come from R&D and stability data.

    • Moisture: Water activity (usually about 0.6 to 0.75 in gummies) and moisture decide texture, shelf life and mold risk. Set specs and test every batch.
    • Process environment: Track room temperature, humidity and drying time. Keep to the imported process, log changes and excursions.
    • Packaging integrity: Barrier pouches, seals and desiccants. Run seal and leak checks. Labels must show batch, expiry, allergens and FSSAI details.
    • Shelf life: Run room, hot-humid (monsoon) and accelerated studies. Results set expiry and storage claims.
    • Dose accuracy: Moisture and heat can degrade actives. Keep doses even and within FSSAI and ICMR-NIN limits.
    • Hygiene and traceability: Set micro limits, control allergens and cross-contact, and keep batch traceability for recalls at all sites.
