QA Lead - Connected Vehicle IoT Platform

Role & responsibilities

• QA Strategy & Planning
• Define QA processes for IoT data flows (vehicle middleware cloud app).
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation matrices for functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Test Case Design & Validation
• Create detailed test cases for:
• Ignition ON event flow (middleware cloud app).
• Data ingestion layer (decoding, rule execution, persistence, forwarding).
• Cloud processing (payload enrichment, latency checks).
• Application layer (UI accuracy, real-time updates).
• Validate end-to-end latency, data integrity, and error handling.
• Automation & Tools
• Implement automated test frameworks for APIs, microservices, and UI using Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Performance & Security
• Conduct load testing for 1M+ connected vehicles using JMeter/Gatling.
• Validate compliance with ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity) and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
• Test Reporting
• Generate daily/weekly QA dashboards with defect metrics, coverage reports, and trend analysis.
• Present QA status and risk assessments to customer stakeholders.
• GenAI Awareness & Usage
• Leverage Generative AI tools for:
• Automated test case generation from requirements.
• Intelligent defect analysis and root cause prediction.
• Test data generation for edge cases.
• Customer Stakeholder Management
• Act as QA point of contact for customer reviews.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.

Preferred candidate profile

• Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, Postman.
• Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling.
• IoT & Middleware Testing: MQTT, CAN bus simulators, telematics protocols.
• Cloud Testing: AWS IoT Core, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Security Testing: TLS validation, penetration testing tools.
• Programming: Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• GenAI Tools: Familiarity with AI-driven QA platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, or custom LLM-based solutions).
