QA Intern

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic QA Intern to join our Quality Assurance team at KUKU. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in software testing and gain hands-on experience in ensuring product quality.

As a QA Intern, you will support day-to-day quality assurance activities, including manual testing, test case execution, bug identification and reporting, regression testing, and validation of new features and fixes. You will also assist with test documentation and have the opportunity to learn automation testing under the guidance of experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of applications to identify functional issues and inconsistencies.
• Execute test cases and verify that product features work as expected.
• Identify, document, track, and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before release.
• Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining test cases and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and defect-tracking activities.
• Learn automation testing tools, frameworks, and best practices as part of the internship.
• Follow established QA processes and contribute to continuous improvement in testing practices.

Requirements

• 6 months - 1 years of prior intern experience
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with manual testing, test case execution, and bug reporting.
• Basic understanding of functional testing and regression testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to identifying issues.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and automation testing practices.
• A proactive attitude and genuine interest in building a career in Quality Assurance.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of any programming or scripting language.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira.
• Basic understanding of API testing and database concepts.
• Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
