QA Freelancer

About The Role We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to work with us on a freelance, remote basis. The role involves testing web applications, mobile apps, web portals, dashboards, and complex websites with custom functionality. We are looking for someone who can understand software flows, business logic, user behavior, and edge cases, not just perform basic visual testing. This position is best suited for a QA professional who has strong manual testing experience, good understanding of automation testing, and the ability to test software deeply and independently.

Experience Required : Minimum 5 years of QA testing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Test web applications, mobile apps, web portals, dashboards, and complex websites.
• Understand project requirements, user flows, functionality, and business logic before testing.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and testing checklists.
• Perform functional testing, regression testing, UI testing, usability testing, responsive testing, and compatibility testing.
• Test mobile apps on Android and iOS devices where required.
• Identify bugs, functionality issues, UI issues, workflow gaps, data issues, and edge case problems.
• Report bugs clearly with proper steps to reproduce, screenshots, videos, expected results, actual results, browser details, and device details.
• Coordinate with developers and project managers to explain bugs and verify fixes.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after bug fixes.
• Support automation testing where required.
• Help improve QA checklists, testing processes, and overall project quality.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in manual software testing.
• Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, web portals, dashboards, and complex websites.
• Good understanding of software functionality, user flows, and business logic.
• Good knowledge of automation testing concepts and tools.
• Ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps or missing scenarios.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Good understanding of responsive testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Good understanding of cross-browser testing.
• Ability to write clear, detailed, and professional bug reports.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience using Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar project management tools.
• Experience testing SaaS platforms, admin panels, CRM systems, booking systems, eCommerce flows, or custom portals.
• Basic understanding of performance, security, and accessibility testing.

Important Note This role is not for candidates whose testing experience is only limited to simple business websites or basic WordPress brochure websites. We are looking for someone who has experience testing software products, custom functionality, web portals, mobile apps, and complex user flows.

Work Availability This is a remote freelance position. However, the candidate should be available during agreed working hours for communication, testing updates, bug discussions, meetings, and urgent release support.
