QA Engineer Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 2 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation. The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure our product quality and reliability. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, log, and track defects to closure using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ClickUp).
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure timely test planning and execution.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Ensure test coverage, reusability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
- Document test cases, test plans, and test execution results.
Required Qualifications
- 2 3 years of QA Automation experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript / C#.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium.
- Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, RestAssured).
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
- Understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
- Experience with CI/CD integration of automated tests.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
- Experience with cloud-based test environments (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for test environments.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality software.
