• This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company as a QA Automation Engineer. You will be joining the international branch of a London-based financial software company that focuses on the Wealth, Investment and Fund Management industries.
• As a QA Automation Engineer you will focus entirely on building, extending and maintaining our automated UI and API test framework, helping to ensure the quality and stability of the product. You will be part of a team where there is an emphasis on learning, engineering best practice and continuous improvement. Reporting to: QA Automation Lead / QA Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop and maintain automated UI & API test solutions in C# using Reqnroll (SpecFlow) and Selenium WebDriver.
• Translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into clear, reusable Gherkin feature files and well-structured step definitions.
• Build and maintain framework components (page objects, API clients, hooks, shared utilities, test data helpers) so the solution stays scalable, readable and easy to maintain.
• Write SQL queries against Microsoft SQL Server for test data setup, back-end validation and clean-up. o Run and maintain automated suites within Azure DevOps pipelines; investigate failures and distinguish genuine product defects from test or environment issues.
• Improve suite stability and execution time by reducing flaky tests and applying robust locators.
• Convert manual regression scenarios into automated coverage, prioritised by risk and business value.
• Take part in code reviews PR procedures and follow good source control practice.
• Make effective use of AI-assisted development tools, within team guidelines, to speed up test creation and maintenance.
• Contribute to automation metrics (coverage, pass rates, run times) and suggest improvements to tools and processes.
• Work closely with developers and QA colleagues across the UK and India.

Qualifications:

• 5 years plus hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong C# / .NET programming skills, with a good understanding of object oriented design.
• Practical experience with BDD frameworks, ideally SpecFlow or Reqnroll.
• Experience automating web applications with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience automating REST API tests in C#.
• Good working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.
• An analytical mind and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• No previous experience is required relating to wealth management.

Desirable:

• Experience using Claude or other LLM-based coding assistants in day-to-day development.
• Exposure to financial services or fintech software.
