QA Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned QA Engineer to strengthen the quality engineering practice across our web and mobile platforms. In this role, you will own end-to-end test automation strategy, drive quality across large-scale, high-traffic distributed applications, and work closely with globally distributed engineering teams. You will champion the adoption of modern QA practices, including AI-assisted test generation and intelligent debugging, to continuously raise the bar for software quality.

Responsibilities:

• Define, own, and continuously evolve the end-to-end test automation strategy for web and mobile (iOS and Android) applications.
• Design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright for web and Appium for mobile platforms, written primarily in Java.
• Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD quality gates in Jenkins to enforce automated testing on every build and deployment pipeline.
• Integrate and manage BrowserStack for cross-browser and cross-device testing at scale, including real-device testing for mobile.
• Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing for large-scale, high-traffic applications; identify bottlenecks and work with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Leverage AI and LLM tools (e. g., Cursor, Claude) for accelerating test automation, intelligent test-case generation, root-cause analysis, and debugging.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define acceptance criteria, shift-left quality practices, and risk-based test coverage.
• Perform exploratory, regression, smoke, sanity, and API-level testing across multiple environments.
• Review and triage defects with detailed reproduction steps; track them to closure using standard defect management processes.
• Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers; establish coding standards, review automation code, and foster a quality-first culture.
• Contribute to test planning, test estimation, and release readiness sign-offs.
• Partner effectively with geographically distributed teams across multiple countries and Eastern time zones.
• Produce clear, concise test reports, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

• Test Automation: 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Selenium: Deep expertise in Selenium WebDriver for cross-browser web automation.
• Appium: Proven experience automating native, hybrid, and web mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Java: Strong command of Java as the primary automation scripting language; familiarity with OOP, design patterns, and build tools.
• Playwright: Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern, reliable end-to-end web testing.
• Jenkins (CI/CD): Experience integrating automated test suites into Jenkins pipelines; familiarity with pipeline-as-code (Jenkinsfile).
• BrowserStack: Practical experience executing and managing test runs on BrowserStack for real browsers and real devices.
• Performance and Scalability: Experience testing large-scale, high-traffic web and mobile applications with a focus on reliability and performance under load.
• AI / LLM Tooling: Hands-on use of AI tools such as Cursor and Claude for QA activities, including test automation acceleration, test generation, and intelligent debugging.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate quality risks, test coverage, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Global Collaboration: Proven experience working with geographically distributed teams across multiple countries and Eastern time zones.

Good to Have:

• API Testing: Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.
• Performance Testing: Familiarity with load and stress testing tools such as JMeter and Gatling.
• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud environments such as GCP for spinning up test infrastructure.
• Docker / Kubernetes: Basic understanding of containerized environments for running parallel test grids.
• AI-Generated Tests: Experience with LLM-based test generation frameworks or prompt-engineering workflows for test automation.
