Qa Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with a basic understanding of the US Banking domain and hands-on experience in functional, API, and database testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in QA/Software Testing.
• Basic understanding of US Banking domain and banking processes.
• Hands-on experience in functional testing, API testing, and database testing.
• Basic proficiency in SQL.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with Postman, Jira/Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Review requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and validate request/response data.
• Perform basic database testing using SQL and validate data accuracy and integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Perform retesting and regression testing for resolved defects.
• Support QA leads and senior QA engineers in test execution.
• Prepare testing status and defect reports as required.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
