About this role
- Design, document, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios for provider-domain capabilities.
- Validate provider, contract, and network configurations within Facets, including provider additions, updates, terminations, reactivations, and network participation changes.
- Test provider demographic and directory data, including NPI, TIN, taxonomy, specialty, address, network tier, and accepting new patients indicators.
- Validate X12 EDI workflows for 278 prior authorization, 270/271 eligibility and benefits, and 835 remittance/payment linkage.
- Use SQL to reconcile provider master data across claims, eligibility, authorization, payment, and directory systems.
- Create and maintain automated tests using TOSCA or a comparable automation tool.
- Author test cases, record evidence, manage defects, and support triage and root-cause analysis in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and onshore quality teams throughout Agile ceremonies and release cycles.
- Support quality validation across Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Duals/MMP, TRICARE, and Marketplace lines of business.
- Work with AI-assisted test agents under human-in-the-loop governance while retaining accountability for test quality and release decisions.
- 3+ years of software quality engineering and testing experience in the U.S. healthcare payer / provider / enrollment domain.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Facets provider, contract, or network modules.
- Working knowledge of provider data management, provider directory accuracy, credentialing, and enrollment workflows.
- Experience validating X12 EDI transaction sets, especially 278, 270/271, and 835.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.
- Hands-on experience with TOSCA or a similar test automation platform.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Sound understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum delivery, regression testing, defect lifecycle, triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
