QA Engineer

Job Summary

3-5 years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing/QA, with a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to identify test scope, dependencies, risks, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, execution reports, and comprehensive test documentation.
• Perform Functional, Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Retesting, Integration, System, End-to-End, Positive, and Negative testing.
• Validate application UI, functionality, business rules, data flows, compatibility, and cross-browser behavior across complete business workflows.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar tools, including detailed reproduction steps, severity, priority, expected, and actual results.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle, Test Levels, Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning, and Severity vs. Priority.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders; participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, defect triage, UAT, release validation, and post-deployment verification.
• Preferred: hands-on API testing with Postman/REST APIs, HTTP methods/status codes, JSON/XML validation, plus basic SQL/database testing using SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, and ORDER BY.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills; Hyderabad work-from-office role with immediate joiners preferred.
