Qa Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Functional and end-to-end testing of data products.
• Validation of data publishing processes and data transformations.
• Root cause analysis of data issues.
• Quality assurance for operational, development, and data-related initiatives.
• Vendor onboarding data validation and customer data delivery checks.
• Test newly developed code in a variety of programming languages (primarily python, SQL, bash, and java)
• Build and perform integration tests
• Work closely with related groups to ensure business continuity
• Work as a member of one or more agile teams, using lean principles and SCRUM methodology

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL proficiency with hands-on querying experience.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of Python and/or Bash scripting.
• Experience with hosted environments, AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers preferred
• Understanding of databases and data validation concepts.
• Ability to independently analyze requirements and design test approaches.

Preferred Background:

• Engineering or technical background.
• Experience working with data-focused QA functions.
• Exposure to functional testing and regression testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
