Qa Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer to protect product quality across functional, API, integration and regression testing. You will understand end-to-end workflows, prepare and execute test plans, identify product risks and provide clear evidence for release decisions in close collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute functional, integration and regression testing.
• Test REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Validate end-to-end business workflows and release candidates.
• Report defects with clear steps, evidence, severity and business impact.
• Track defects through verification and closure.
• Use SQL to prepare test data and validate system behaviour.
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Communicate release quality, residual risk and readiness.

What success looks like

• Own release-validation activities and maintain reliable regression coverage.
• Identify functional, integration and usability issues before release.
• Understand user journeys and system dependencies, not only individual screens.
• Produce clear, reproducible and actionable defect reports.
• Advocate for quality while working constructively with the delivery team.

Required skills

• Hands-on manual and functional testing experience.
• Test-case and scenario design.
• API testing and REST concepts.
• Bug tracking using Jira or a similar tool.
• Test execution, evidence collection and reporting.
• Basic SQL.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
