Qa Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QA/Test Engineer with strong experience in Data Reconciliation, API Testing, SQL, and Playwright Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy across source and target systems, automating test scenarios, and maintaining high-quality standards for data-driven applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Perform end-to-end validation of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

Conduct data reconciliation testing between source systems, data warehouses, and downstream applications.

Validate data completeness, consistency, accuracy, and integrity across multiple systems.

Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright.

Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, Swagger, or similar tools.

Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and validate data flows.

Implement automated reconciliation checks and reporting mechanisms.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Contribute to CI/CD test automation pipelines and quality engineering best practices.

Required Skills

Testing

Strong experience in Manual and Automated Testing.

Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and End-to-End Testing.

Understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.

Data Reconciliation

Strong experience in validating large volumes of data across multiple systems.

Expertise in reconciling source-to-target data migrations and ETL processes.

Experience identifying data mismatches, duplicate records, and transformation issues.

SQL & Databases

Advanced SQL skills including:

Joins

CTEs

Window Functions

Stored Procedures

Performance Analysis

Experience with databases such as:

SQL Server

PostgreSQL

Oracle

MySQL

Snowflake

API Testing

Experience testing RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of JSON/XML validation.

Experience with Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools.

API automation and integration testing experience.

Automation

Hands-on experience with Playwright.

Strong understanding of automation framework design and maintenance.

Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.

Data Engineering Validation

Experience testing ETL/ELT workflows.

Familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts.

Understanding of data lakes, data marts, and cloud-based data platforms.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Kafka.

Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Knowledge of test reporting and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Data Testing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have

Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Healthcare domains.

Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements.

ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
