About the Role LeadSource Tech is looking for a
QA Engineer – Automation & Performance who can take ownership of quality across browser extensions, SaaS products, web applications, APIs and custom software projects. This isn't an automation-only role, nor is it a manual testing role with occasional automation. We're looking for someone who understands
when to test manually, what should be automated, how different layers of an application interact, and how to validate a system under real-world load. What You'll Work On
- Own functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing across products and client projects
- Design, develop and maintain
end-to-end automation test suites
- Automate testing for
Chrome/browser extensions and web applications
- Test extension UI, browser behaviour, background processes, permissions, storage and backend interactions
- Perform
API and integration testing
- Design and execute
load, performance and stress tests
- Simulate concurrent usage and identify performance bottlenecks
- Measure response times, throughput, failures and system behaviour under increasing load
- Validate authentication, user states, data persistence and asynchronous workflows
- Build and maintain regression suites for critical product journeys
- Identify race conditions, edge cases and failures beyond standard happy-path scenarios
- Perform exploratory/manual testing for new features and scenarios where automation isn't appropriate
- Analyse failures and work closely with developers to identify root causes
- Integrate automated tests into development and release workflows
- Perform
regression and performance validation during platform and infrastructure migrations , ensuring functionality, data integrity and system performance remain stable
- Help establish and continuously improve QA practices across the company
What We're Looking For Hands-on experience with:
- Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
- JavaScript/TypeScript or another relevant automation language
- Building and maintaining automated test suites
- End-to-end web application testing
- Browser-based application testing
- Chrome/browser extension testing or automation
- API testing using
Postman, REST Assured or equivalent
- Load and performance testing using JMeter, k6, Gatling or equivalent
- Designing realistic performance scenarios and interpreting results
- Functional, regression and exploratory testing
- Authentication and session-based workflows
- Browser developer tools and network/API inspection
- Git and modern development workflows
- Debugging failures rather than simply reporting them
Good to Have
- Experience with
Cloudflare, serverless/edge architectures, CI/CD pipelines, SaaS products and cloud-based applications is an advantage.
- Prior experience testing
Chrome/browser extensions is strongly preferred, but isn't mandatory for candidates with strong browser automation, API testing and debugging experience.
What Matters for This Role
- We're looking for someone who thinks beyond executing predefined test cases.
- You should be comfortable understanding an unfamiliar product or workflow, identifying its risks and failure points, and deciding
what should be tested manually, what should be automated, what needs performance testing, and how quality should be validated before release.
- The goal isn't simply to find bugs.
It's to help prevent them from reaching the user. LeadSource Tech Engineering Clarity. Delivering Impact.
