QA Commerce

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all QA activities across projects, including test planning, test execution, defect tracking, reporting, and quality sign-off.
• Perform hands-on manual functional testing with a strong focus on eCommerce and commerce-related workflows such as product catalog management, search, checkout, promotions, payments, order management, and customer account functionality.
• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
• Implement and maintain BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) automation solutions using Cucumber, ensuring clear collaboration between business and technical teams.
• Develop automated UI test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing activities to ensure application stability and quality.
• Identify, log, track, and validate defects while working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Review test execution results, analyze failures, and provide detailed reports on quality metrics, risks, and recommendations.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirement reviews, and release validation activities in Agile environments.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and automation guidelines.

Required Skills

• 5–7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong expertise in Playwright for UI automation testing.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for automation script development and framework maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with BDD Cucumber and Gherkin-based test development.
• Strong knowledge of Magento platforms and eCommerce workflows.
• Extensive experience in UI testing and web application validation.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and CI/CD processes.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
• Understanding of accessibility testing standards such as WCAG and related validation tools.
