Role & Responsibilities :

API Test Automation Engineer (Robot Framework & Python)

Experience: 6 to 9 Years

Required Skills

• 6-9 years of experience in API Testing and Test Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools
• Good understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP methods, status codes, and API authentication (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth)
• Experience in API automation framework development and maintenance
• Knowledge of SQL/Database testing
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated API test cases.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
• Validate API functionality, integration, reliability, and security.
• Create reusable test libraries and automation components.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams.
• Prepare test execution reports and quality metrics.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and quality assurance activities.
