What We're Looking For
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Java, API testing, REST Assured, Postman, and database testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality, improving test coverage, and identifying defects across applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Java.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
- Conduct API testing using Postman to validate endpoints, HTTP status codes, request/response payloads, and API functionality.
- Develop and execute API automation scripts using REST Assured.
- Perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity, CRUD operations, and backend data consistency.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect-tracking tools.
- Analyse test failures, investigate issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, automation scripts, and test execution reports.
- Contribute to improving automation frameworks, test coverage, and overall QA processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, including test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Good programming knowledge of Java.
- Experience in API testing using Postman.
- Practical experience with REST Assured for API automation.
- Strong understanding of database testing and SQL queries.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
